Equine Medical Service has an exceptional reputation for emergency responsiveness. We are available for emergency services
7 days a week, 24 hours per day 365 days each year. We have worked to build this reputation and we will continue to maintain this reputation. Still at times, we do have to prioritize emergencies. As a Client Advantage Program member, we will always work to prioritize your emergencies before non-members. Our continued support will give you the peace of mind that you have come to expect with EMS.
The emergency service EMS provides for Advantage Members generally falls into two categories, either In Clinic priority emergency service or ambulatory / "farm call" priority emergency service. We will provide members with priority in clinic emergency services 7 days a week, 24 hours per day, 365 days each year. However, our priority emergency service for ambulatory or "farm call" emergencies is subject to limitations for our clients who live in the mountains or outlying areas. Because responding on an ambulatory basis to areas outside our normal practice area leaves us outside of cell phone and pager range, we can only provide priority ambulatory emergency service to those areas when we have a "backup" doctor available to cover our primary service area. If we have back-up coverage available, we will provide priority ambulatory emergency service to our mountain and outlying clients. If we are unable to provide ambulatory response due to a lack of coverage for our front range practice area, you will be asked to trailer your animal to our clinic, where we will prioritize your emergency as always.
Internet Based Equine Medical Information Manual
Through a cooperative effort with Infovets, Equine Medical Service is offering all Advantage Clients access, via our web site, to their subscription on-line equine health manual. This online manual addresses and answers many basic and advanced horse health care issues.
Internet Based Ask a Vet E-Mail System
Our web site includes an email system for your general health care questions. Our doctors cannot always be available to discuss your medical questions, and your next visit may be days or even a week away. Now you can email those questions to us and receive an e-mail response within 2-3 business days.
E-Mail Emergency Health Notification System
When local or national health issues present a risk to your horse you can count on Equine Medical Service to keep you informed on a timely basis. We will not only post this information on our web site but as a Advantage Client we will notify you directly. Provide us with your e-mail address and we will help keep you informed.
Direct Mail Newsletters
All of our EMS newsletters are available to you on our web site. In addition as an Advantage Client we will continue to mail you a paper copy of all new newsletters so that you can maintain a library of this important information.

Equine Medical Service Call Fee Discount
Save money on call charges! As a Silver Advantage member, you will save a minimum of
10% on all standard call charges. This substantial savings will be applied to all full call charges. This discount cannot be applied to split call charges.

Ranch Way Feeds Discount Program
Through a special arrangement with Ranch Way Feeds, Equine Medical Service Advantage Clients will receive a

Our ambulatory units are well stocked with all the essential drugs and supplies that you will need for the care of your horse. We are also willing and able to ship via UPS any drug or supply that you might need to refill. You will now receive a
10% discount on all of the aftercare drugs and supplies you require. This includes antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, joint supplements, EMS products, de-wormers, bandaging supplies and many other items.
Free Annual Education Seminar
Over the past four years, our client education seminars have become a popular forum in which area horse people gain new and valuable equine medical information. Gold Advantage clients will receive
2 free tickets for admission, to our next annual client educational experience. These tickets will have a normal sale price of
$25 each.
Membership Conditions
Membership is offered to those clients using Equine Medical Service as their primary care veterinarian. The cost of a Silver Advantage membership is only
$25 and the cost of a Gold Advantage membership is only
$49, per horse owner. Yes, this cost is per owner and not per horse and coverage is for a complete year! Membership will be reevaluated at each renewal date. Membership enrollment and membership renewal will be at the sole discretion of Equine Medical Service.
Upon enrollment a membership card and a password allowing access to the Client Advantage section of our web site will be issued. Clients must have their membership card available when requesting their discounts from either Equine Medical Service or any of its discount partners.
