General Medicine / Surgery

General Medicine and Surgery for your horses can be provided at your barn or at Equine Medical Service facilities. Most medical care and many surgeries such as laceration repair, biopsies, and tumor removal and castrations, can be performed in a standing, sedated horse or a horse under IV general anesthesia, in the field.

On other occasions, the need for extended care, intensive medical care, or special diagnostics and procedures may make a visit to the Equine Medical Service Facilities the right choice for your horse.
